A unique franking from New Caledonia with the usage of Allegorical one cent on cover paying the Circular rate to France. Dr Edward Grabowski in his comprehensive collection of French Colonies sold by Spink in three catalogues over 2000 covers from all the French Colonies did not have such a usage in his collection.
