Malaya. (British Military Administration). 1946. Air Mail envelope registered B.M.A. postal stationery card 4c violet upgraded with SG 1, 1c black, SG 2, 2c orange, SG 4, 3c green, SG 5, 5c brown, SG 6, 6c grey, SG 7, 8c scarlet, SG 8, 10c purple, SG 10, 10c blue and SG 12, 15c bright ultramarine tied by Singapore/ Registered double ring '17th Jan 1946' with matching registration label, sent from 'W.H. Amweg, Released POW, R.N.F. Beatrix Camp, Changi, Singapore' addressed to 'Postmaster, R.A.P.W.I. Post Office, Batavia, Java' with oval 'Central Post Bureau/ Batavia/ R.A.P.W.I.' in violet on face.
W.H. Amweg was a released Prisoner of War with the Royal Netherlands Force sent from the Post Office for the 'Recovery of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees.
