Palestine. (Postage Due - Great Britain). 1921. Envelope addressed to Palestine bearing SG 419, 1d red (pair) tied by Liverpool date stamp '19th Sept 21', routed via Port Said, Egypt '27/9', underpaid with octagonal 'T' hand-stamp and boxed 'To Pay/ 8/ Milliems' on face, struck twice with instructional 'Inconnu', endorsed 'Try Jerusalem' with Ludd arrival '28th Sept' on reverse. Proud lists three types of 'Inconnu' marks, this is a forth type and earliest date. Lydda Junction or Ludd a scarce mark (27.4.21.) - (15.1.22.). A very nice item.
